The Inaugural Kenya Anti-Financial Crime Summit, held on 24th and 25th October 2024 at the JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi, marked a defining milestone in the national response to the complex and growing threats of financial crime. Flywheel Advisory, in collaboration with the Financial Reporting Centre (FRC), convened this high-level engagement under the theme Unified Strategies: Tackling Grey Listing; a timely and urgent call to collective action following Kenya’s placement on the FATF Grey List earlier in the year.

Dedicated to fostering strategic dialogue and collaboration across sectors, Flywheel Advisory established the Summit as an impartial platform for bringing various stakeholders together. The Summit brought together over 150 stakeholders across the public and private sectors, including regulators, prosecutors, law enforcement, judiciary, financial institutions, DNFBPs, development partners, and civil society. The Summit provided a platform for honest conversation, knowledge exchange, and driving unity of purpose regarding the solutions required to restore Kenya’s financial integrity.
